It is between March 19th and 20th when two robot teams of our school went to Beijing to join the biggest robot competition in China—-FTC. My team, which is numbered 1205, became the champion and we were all really excited. We have practiced for almost half a year and finally we got the great result!
The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is designed for to compete head to head, using a sports model. Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots in a 10-week build period to compete in an alliance format against other teams. The ultimate goal of FTC is to reach more young people with a lower-cost, more accessible opportunity to discover the excitement and rewards of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. And that competition is a really good chance to learn better on how to work together, how to solve problems as soon as possible, and how to combine teammates’ ideas together to make the robot better.
